  1. Couldn’t agree more! No other player comes even close to Jansher (except probably Jahangir of course!). Any chance you’ve got any more matches of Jansher to upload?

  2. Take a look at some of the earlier videos, how many lets did he use to win the other 98 titles that he won.

  3. Refs gave way too many easy Lets to JK and his ilk back then. Glad that has changed. Make him play through minor insignificant interference….then we will see how his conditioning holds up. No Let is a valid call, folks. Apply it.

  4. what’s a stroke peddlar?!

  5. 6’1″

  6. he may not have always been a stroke peddler but if he really loved the game he should never have become one. look at the willstrop palmer final on youtube and you’ll see how little strokes and lets there were (granted palmer likes his lets but willstrop is a classic example of a no nonsense all about squash guy).

  7. Horrible ref… At least 2 of the last 3 strokes should have been lets.

  8. jansher what a pussy player!!!!!!! always looking for the stroke… so glad that the game changed in that way

  9. i will say the last 3 calls of the match were just bad refereeing tho. so i dont blame nicols for getting mad. that being said i dont want to take anything away from jansher kahn….

  10. ive seen people on here making statements such as players like jansher from the 80s couldnt play in todays squash league, but then i see videos like this and jansher crushed power, nicol and others. so this video alone should shut the critics up.
    Jansher = greatest ever

  11. how tall was jangsher?

  12. no let, no let, no let and always standing in the way after a bad shot. disgraceful. luckily the best players nowadays have some style.

  13. Hard to see the ball. Pretty poor refereeing.

Jansher was a great player though. Probably no one has moved on a squash court like him.

  14. : You need to be hit hard as you are F*** stupid.

It was his sooper dooper anticipation that he was already there to hit the ball even before Peter returning the ball. There is a difference between stroke peddler and this but kids like you just trash talker.

  15. wonder how much jansher paid off the referee ?

  16. This is actually the 1996 World Open.

  17. Thanks ever so much for these video’s, its a pleasure to watch the greatest player of all …..Jansher that is ;-)…..keep um comming

  18. Thanks ever so much for these video’s, its a pleasure to watch the greatest player of all …..Jansher that is ;-)…..keep um comming

  19. Yup – the good ole days. If you look at his squash and that of the top players today, you can see alot.

I will get some more online in the coming weeks hopefully.

    Thanks for the comments guys.

  20. Thank you so much for posting this video. Tons of memories for me.

  21. @nasar1111 @mirzarayhan this is the only video of jk ive seen, and judging from this video only, he’s a stroke peddler. it’s not just that one brief moment in that rally, it’s about 4 moments in this short video. it’s not in the right spirit of the game, i know that pros these days play a lot more balls and this is good for the game

i hate playing this type of player. so i guess that if i was nicol here, i’d be pretty damn pissed and refuse to play jk ever again.

  22. @hitmehard3r. One brief moment in a rally made you decide this legend is a stroke peddler? Seriously do you even play squash? Search youtube and find out what his opponent has to say about JK. Every single attacking game in squash today is because of how JK played – and he did it with style by walking on the court with dignity. If you ever played squash, you’d know one cant just merely walk on the court while executing attacking rallies 2 inches above the tin. He played safe & respectfully.

  23. Take a look at some of the other videos of Jansher and see if he won 8 world opens just by being a “stroke peddler”.

  24. jansher is a fucking stroke peddler
esp the last one where the commentator said he should have played the shot
ive just lost a lot of respect for this guy

  25. Thanks guys, I have a pile of old videos which I am in the process of digitizing. Problem is I spend too much time in nostalgia !

Just no one like these guys, I think Jansher, Jahangir would still destroy anyone playing today.

Will try and find time to get some more done.
