Herts League debut
Luton and Dunstable Squash Clubs under-15 members made their debut in Herts League. They had a double header against Berkhamsted and Radlett. The team was made up of Callum McGeorge, Alex Axford and Rahul Sheemar as they won.
No 1 string fourteen year old Axford was the days star, winning both of his matches 3 – 0. His last game against top string from Radlett was mainly impressive as this was the only match their team got defeated in the day. 2nd string, 12 year old Rahul Sheemer also handed an excellent account, even though lost his 1st game 3 – 0 to Radletts 2nd string, in spite of each match being close. In his 2nd game, Sheemar also played quite well against the 2nd string from Berkhamsted as well as comfortably won 3 – 0.
Eleven year old Callum McGeorge, the 3rd string, also had a very impressive day. He lost his 1st game comprehensively 3 -0 against a strong opposition from Radlett, but this is more than made up in his 2nd match against Berkhamsted counterpart, snatching the match 3 – 0.
Danny McGeorge stated that considering that this was the very 1st time when the team is playing in the league, they did well, mainly as most of their players still qualify for the under 13 level squash.
